ABOUT CHRISTINA

 

Christina is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Certified Early Intervention Specialist with over 10 years of experience including child welfare, community outreach with the birth to 3 population and outpatient mental health counseling services with preschool-aged children up to young adults.  Christina earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts and her master's degree in Social Work from Wheelock College in Boston, Massachusetts.

 

Her professional training includes work for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in child welfare as well as in-home and community-based outreach to caregivers and their young children at risk of or diagnosed with developmental delays and disabilities. In the Early Intervention setting, Christina supervised allied health professionals and trained childcare providers on diverse learning styles and social emotional behaviors.  Christina enjoys applying her training in cognitive behavioral therapy, habit reversal training and exposure response prevention to those seeking relief from their symptoms of anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, and body-focused repetitive behaviors.
