ABOUT MATT

​

Matt is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) with over 15 years of experience in the area of mental health treatment. Matt’s career began by supporting developmentally disabled adults and children in residential, day and community clinic settings. For the last 6 years Matt has been supporting children and families in psychiatric crises working across both home and hospital settings. Matt obtained his Bachelor’s degree (Psychology) from Rhode Island College and Master’s (Mental Health Counseling) from Capella University. 

 

Matt has experience supporting adults and children of all ages with a wide range of emotional and psychiatric needs including: mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, OCD, grief and trauma as well as extensive experience in the area of Autism and other developmental challenges. Matt utilizes a family systems based approach and often works to incorporate parents and other family members into treatment as a way to promote and facilitate positive change.
