Elizabeth Carleton, MSN, PMHNP-BC

ABOUT ELIZABETH

Elizabeth Carleton provides psychiatric and psychopharmacological assessment and treatment for adults. She received national board certification as a psychiatric nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Elizabeth earned her masters and bachelors degree in nursing at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. She also holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Bates College. 

Elizabeth has experience treating patients with a variety of mental health conditions including but not limited to anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. She has been involved in the mental health field in many different capacities inducing outreach, case management, as well as nursing. Elizabeth has spent the past several years working in community mental health, providing psychopharmacological treatment for adults 18 and older. She completed a year long internship at a community mental health center prior to independent practice. 

Elizabeth values a patient centered approach to care and welcomes collaboration in treatment planning. Elizabeth works with the patient to reach their own unique goals of treatment, believing no two patients are exactly alike. Her practice emphasizes the importance of medication as well as therapy to meet mental health needs.
