ABOUT KIRSTEN

 

Dr. Kirsten Snyder is an integrative therapist that combines her doctoral level training in clinical psychology with her training in energy medicine to provide a holistic healing experience of the mind, body and spirit for her clients.  Both psychotherapy and energy work services are available independent of each other and can also be combined.

Kirsten graduated from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology (now known as William James College) and has over 15 years of experience providing psyotherapy to older adolescents and adults and has spent over a decade building up her repertoire of energy healing techniques.  Her approach to treatment draws from a variety of theoretical perspectives in psychology and energy medicine, including Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Relational and Psychodynamic models, Reiki, Bodytalk, EFT, and acupressure among others. Kirsten works collaboratively with her clients to develop an integrated approach to treatment that is tailored to the particular needs and interests of her clients and that promotes personal discovery, health, healing and growth.

In psychotherapy, Kirsten is most interested in facilitating the exploration and healing of life difficulties associated with relationships, the stresses and adjustments to life and career transitions, and identity development. Dr. Snyder has had extensive experience in working with people that struggle with depression, anxiety, bereavement issues, post-traumatic stress and situational stressors.

With regard to the energy healing services Kirsten provides, she believes that at the core of everything is energy and this energy can get stuck, blocked or in other ways damaged, which impacts one's level of wellness and ability to cope, mend and feel happy and balanced.  By addressing and healing our energetic bodies we can more easily deal with the physical, emotional, and mental stressors in life.  Kirsten provides a safe and comfortable environment in which to give undivided attention to your energetic healing process.
