ABOUT VICTORIA

 

Victoria is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), holding an M.Ed in Mental Health Counseling concentrating in Family & Marriage Counseling and Substance Use Counseling from Cambridge College. Victoria’s experience has guided her to work a variety of presenting issues that include: substance use/addiction, depressive and anxiety symptoms, emerging adulthood, ADHD, family dynamics & communications, and stress management. Her previous work includes inpatient/residential and outpatient substance use treatment, child and adolescent therapy both outpatient and community based (In-Home), as well as family and marriage counseling.

Focusing on the strengths of the individual, Victoria utilizes solution focused (SFT), Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT) techniques with a strong attention to communication skill development. Victoria takes a person-centered, approach that allows each client to utilize their strengths in treatment. Victoria enjoys incorporating humor and creativity to her therapeutic approach.
