ABOUT CRISTIN

Cristin Poirier is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who has over 20 years of experience providing therapy services for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Cristin is also licensed as a school adjustment counselor in Massachusetts. She graduated from Stonehill College in 1997 with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, and she received her Master of Social Work from the
University of New Hampshire in 1999. Cristin has been trained in trauma focused treatment modalities and uses a trauma-informed approach in working with her clients. She helps and supports individuals coping with anxiety and depressive symptoms, ADHD, and anger management / behavioral difficulties. She is also skilled in helping those navigating life transitions including divorce, women’s
issues, birth/adoption of a child, grief and loss, and LGBTQ health and well-being.  She has particular expertise in helping children and teens through struggles encountered at each developmental stage, and providing parents with training and support as their children grow. Cristin believes in taking a strengths’ based approach in working with each individual client. Prior to joining Vendetti Wellness Group, Cristin worked as a senior clinical supervisor and outpatient clinician at a community based behavioral healthcare organization. In her free time, Cristin enjoys golfing, skiing, running, and spending time with her family.
